Chronic Toxicity and Carcinogenicity (6 months and over)

Chronic toxicity tests, along with most of the experimental animal's lifespan, require 3 months or more of exposure, usually 6 months or longer, to detect the effects of one or more exposures to drugs, medical devices and extracts. These tests should be carried out as appropriate for the duration by exposure or contact.
