Implantation

Implantation experiments are used in the holistic and microscopic evaluation of the pathological effects of the final state of a material or sample surgically placed in body tissue for the evaluation of medical device biocompatibility. These assays can be used to evaluate medical devices intended to be implanted short-term or long-term in clinical use. It is also used to evaluate both absorbable and non-absorbable materials in the body.
